We ponder a fundamental question: how does humanitarian action concern us all in our everyday lives? We invite artists and cultural partners to produce new works that invite us to explore this very theme all together. Works that inspire us, that move us, that force us to stop and think. By supporting the Museum, you contribute to affirming its role as a place of memory and a forum for creativity and dialogue of service to the community. Donations are tax-deductible. Thank you very much for your support !

Can art help us better understand humanitarian issues? Academics, artists and humanitarian practitioners set out some possible answers.
This book follows on from "Art and Humanity: What Is Possible?", an online symposium organised in 2021 by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum, HEAD – Genève and the International Committee of the Red Cross, in partnership with the Geneva Red Cross. The dust jacket features a new work by Swiss artist Gilles Furtwängler.

Eco and echo : The international Museum of the future
Musée international de la Croix-Rouge et du Croissant-Rouge
Musée international de la Croix-Rouge et du Croissant-Rouge
How can the Museum have a global reach while representing its local population? This is one of the challenges that Mathieu Menghini will be tackling in his talk.
Representative of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the Museum is also a key contributor to the city of Geneva. For this discussion, guests from the cultural sector and those who migrated to Geneva will share their unique expertise on integration into local life and the role that cultural spaces can play in this process.
Take part in this conference and discuss the ways in which the Museum reflects the city and becomes a useful place for its population, becoming an ecomuseum, a museum of community.
This event is held in French.

A museum director, a social sciences researcher and a humanitarian just back from the field share their views on the Museum. Three perspectives on a place that echoes humanitarian action and that is undergoing major transformation. During this three-way tour, Pascal Hufschmid, Valérie Gorin and a humanitarian will share their views and expertise as they explore the permanent exhibition. Together with you, they will contribute to the co-construction of the Museum's new permanent exhibition. The tour will conclude with a visit to the Atelier and its artist-in-residence Zahrasadat Hakim, followed by the annual Summer Party.

Musée international de la Croix-Rouge et du Croissant-Rouge
But what is a Solidarity Sunday?
It's very simple: every first Sunday of the month, take advantage of reduced admission prices, with tickets priced at 10.00 CHF instead of 15.00 CHF. It's also an opportunity to do a good deed, as the purchase of a ticket equals a ticket that will be donated to the Geneva Red Cross and other local partners. These tickets will then be distributed to the beneficiaries of these organizations.
By taking part in Dimanche Solidaire, you're promoting access to culture through a civic gesture, from person to person.

Musée international de la Croix-Rouge et du Croissant-Rouge
On Sunday, June 1st, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (OSR) will perform at the Museum as an act of solidarity. This exceptional concert aims to strongly reaffirm the importance of cultural institutions in fostering social cohesion. A quartet of musicians will offer a musical and supportive moment, featuring a program dedicated to Mozart. For the occasion, the Museum’s Café HINIVUU will serve a special brunch menu. All proceeds from the event will go toward the creation of "suspended tickets," allowing individuals without financial means to visit the Museum free of charge, in collaboration with several socially engaged organizations. An exceptional opportunity to experience the OSR in a unique and welcoming setting, rediscover the Museum, and take part in a tangible act of solidarity. An experience that combines music and civic engagement in support of a more inclusive and accessible culture.
About the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (OSR):
The OSR is composed of 112 permanent musicians, representing 22 different nationalities. Nearly 700 musicians have contributed to its worldwide reputation, built over the years through its historic recordings and performances of 20th-century French and Russian repertoire.
