MAPPING MY WAY TO TRACES OF BELONGING

For the event ‘Mapping My Way To Traces of Belonging’, artists Sasha Huber and Thi My Lien Nguyen place a central focus on overlooked narratives and create spaces for dialogue through performance.  

This third episode of the series explores the concept of connection (both physical and imaginary) and invites us to celebrate our ancestors. The first part of the evening is dedicated to Sasha Huber’s short film Rosa (2025), in honour of Rosa Emilia Clay (1875–1959), the first person of African descent to obtain Finnish citizenship. The artist Thi My Lien Nguyen then invites the audience to gather for a reading-performance, an invitation to a moment of calm between gastronomy and meditation.
